This scholarly study examines the disturbing relationship between esoteric beliefs, racial mythology, and political movements associated with Nazi Germany and the broader history of modern occultism. It investigates how ideas about ancient civilizations, Aryan identity, mythology, and supposed hidden traditions were used to construct narratives of racial superiority and cultural destiny. The book places these developments within their historical and intellectual context rather than treating occultism as a simple explanation for Nazism. Detailed and critical in approach, it is valuable for readers interested in the history of fascism, esotericism, nationalism, mythology, and the ways pseudohistorical ideas can become politically influential.
