Stories of encounters with fairies and other extraordinary beings form the heart of this intriguing collection. Personal experiences are placed alongside folklore, contemporary belief, and questions about how people interpret unusual events in the modern world. Rather than limiting the subject to traditional fairy tales, the book considers reports of encounters occurring in ordinary places and contemporary settings. The result is an atmospheric exploration of the boundary between folklore and personal experience, appealing to readers fascinated by fairies, nature spirits, unexplained phenomena, folklore, and the possibility that the extraordinary may still appear in everyday life.
