This graphic novel explores Ares, the Greek god associated with war, violence, conflict, and the brutal side of battle. Unlike heroic warriors who fight for glory or justice, Ares represents the chaotic and destructive nature of warfare itself. The book presents myths involving his relationships with other gods, heroes, and mortals while examining the complicated role he played within the Olympian pantheon. Dynamic artwork and accessible storytelling make this an engaging introduction to Greek mythology and a vivid portrait of one of its most controversial gods.
