The city watch has never been particularly impressive, but a mysterious dragon and an ambitious criminal scheme force its reluctant officers into an extraordinary investigation. Humor, satire, fantasy, and social commentary combine as the characters stumble into a conspiracy far larger than expected. The story introduces an unforgettable collection of eccentric citizens, criminals, nobles, and supernatural creatures while exploring ideas about authority, prejudice, heroism, and civic responsibility. Lighthearted without being shallow, it is an entertaining entry into a famous comic fantasy universe and a perfect choice for readers who enjoy witty dialogue and absurd adventures.
