A group of suburban women decide to confront a terrifying threat that their community would rather ignore. What begins as a neighborhood book club becomes an unlikely alliance against something far more dangerous than the ordinary problems of domestic life. Horror, dark humor, friendship, and social commentary combine as the women discover that courage can come from unexpected places. The story plays with classic vampire mythology while exploring class, gender, marriage, motherhood, and community. A highly entertaining choice for readers who enjoy horror that is both gruesome and funny, with memorable characters at its center.
